Hiya!

I've been thinking about it for a while, and with it being the start of a new month, I've decided to make changes/clear some stuff up about the characters in Fueled by Insanity. I've received a lot of feedback from surveys and other places. I hear all of you!

To give a preview of these changes that are being implemented, I have updated everyone's character bios, which you can find below.

First up we have Candle, the most popular name chosen by you, the fans! I've also received feedback that some people prefer the new sprite while others preferred the old one, so I have compromised and combined the two. Candle will, however, continue to be related to Daren. I just wanted to continue noting that.

Next up we have Husband Material, the new name chosen by a majority of the feedback I have received. As noted earlier, he will still be related to the main character. To unlock the secret ending where you can get with him, all you need to do is write fanfic or commission art in which you replace the main character to remedy this issue. It is guaranteed to work, I promise. As a last note, there was a comment made early on into this story's lifespan that contained a word I had never seen before. Many have come to me asking what it means. I don't know, but it feels many readers enjoy its sentiment regardless, so I have placed it in his bio.

Here we have the character that every visual novel out there has and needs, My Wolf. I am proud of this decision, as many of you now enjoy this chara- wait... hold up, he's not a wolf, he's a fox? Well, that's fine too. Foxes are just as good, right? In that case, I introduce to you, My Fox! (Crap, how am I going to meet the required wolf quota for my visual novel? Maybe I'll just say that the main character is part wolf. I'm sure that will be a sensible decision that nobody will question and everyone will remember.)

Here we have our next fox. He is a friend, and so his new name will reflect that. He has a mohawk. He has no screentime yet, but I expect him to be as popular as the other foxes despite that. (Please, he's begging you to remember he exists!)

Sean's Friend will continue to be in this visual novel. People have asked why her tail to body proportions were off, so that issue has now been corrected. Oh and uhh... she was supposed to be the original wolf in this visual novel. Man, I really need to stop making changes without checking how it affects the rest of the cast.

For the next member of the friend group, we have changed his name to reflect his personality. I hope you enjoy! He has a fan. Maybe two.

If any of you have played, seen, or heard about Beyond the Harbor/BTHr, you may have noticed that one of the characters is Ollie. The original intention was to have him say "sir" enough that you all would be brainwashed into believing that he was a different character, but some of you have seen through his disguise. Now that the secret is out, I have changed his name to reflect his true character.

Following up, we have Ollie's roommate. I recognize that many of you wish he was a route instead of Ollie. In response to that, I have made the difficult decision, and moving forward the of he Ollie though still mouse lion ear. To comply with both the SFW and NSFW variants of this visual novel, the word bang will probably have a different meaning between the two versions. He may or may not hold a frying pan to bang on people's heads in the SFW variant. There is a chance maybe that this version will make the NSFW players potentially jealous.

Here is someone. I think he appeared in a side story once? I can't remember.

The next character's name was irrelevant and most people forgot anyway. I hear your feedback, and so he will now be addressed as Possessed Friend :< from now on. The frowny face is there to remind you that this is a sad thing and not a happy thing. He does, in fact, have an age. This information has been replaced with "Two years ago" due to the frequency of that phrase being used throughout the story whenever he is talked about. Contained in his new sprite is a set of step-by-step instructions on how to fix all of his issues.

Parker's name has been untouched, as it would be disrespectful to rename the dead. Based on feedback I have received about their feelings of him being dead, I have decided to double down on how dead he is to give the story more emotional impact. I don't want the story to be too sad though, so I tried to make his bio more light-hearted at the end.

Let's talk about Caijoru. He has four tails instead of nine despite being a kitsune. Some people have expressed this to be a weird choice. As I don't want anyone's voice to go unheard, I have reflected this in his bio. Did you know that his in-game sprite has some of the least amount of tail shown in it despite being the only character whose tails have significance? I have fixed this issue by including a high-quality sprite in his bio. This will likely lure in new players to try out Fueled by Insanity. To their misfortune, his old sprite will remain in the actual story. The last point is that many of you have selected him as both your favorite and least favorite character in the surveys. If you have selected both of these options when submitting your survey, know that you are not alone.

The last character is Plot Device. He is never shown on-screen. Despite that, he has a sprite. But, like, why? On the bright side, this is a good thing as his new sprite has a smaller head to allow space for other characters. I have included his backstory in his bio so that players can get a feel for who he is.
