Fueled by Insanity 0.14 Update

Hiya! Update 0.14 is finally here! Hurray!

This update is just barely under 20,000 words long and is split between Ted's, Sean's, and Tracy's routes on the Reject path. If anyone has forgotten, this route split happens after rejecting Caijoru's offer on both Night 4 and Night 5.

Ted's route update adds scenes during Day 6. If you are loading a previous, you will need to restart Day 6 to see the new content. With that said, if you do load a save from later on into Day 6, you should be given a prompt at the end of the night to restart that day from the beginning. There's a chance some old saves might act a little wonky at first but if that happens, it should fix itself after restarting the day.

Also, note that just like before, Night 6 on Ted's route syncs up with his accept path on night 6 as well. So basically the nsfw scene on this path is the same one as on the other path.

Sean's route goes from Night 5 to halfway through Day 6. The 18+ version includes an optional NSFW scene. (No cgs still, sorry!)

Tracy's route goes through Night 5.

Other changes include:

Character sprite heights have been adjusted to better reflect their actual heights. (This means Benji is now his full size.)

Blake has had a complete overhaul. He looks nothing like his old self, and his personality has changed a bit too.

Character bio pages have had tweaks and every character now has a page. Character buttons on the selection page now change when you hover over them.

Several typos and errors have been corrected.

You can now skip the The End screens. (Sorry I kept forgetting!)

The new survey now has sections to rate each major character from 1 to 5. Several of you have said it's been difficult to pick a favorite. Plus I'm also curious to see results for individual characters.

I wanted to write and add more music for this update, but due to injuries, I have been unable to write and play anything unfortunately. There are several new scenes where I feel like new music would have worked a lot better.

As for what the future holds: the plan is for each future update to be the ending to a character's route. If I'm able to stick to this then that means the story should be completed within 5 updates. Then there will be one final one dedicated to quality of life changes, improving the script, improving the UI, etc. I'd also still like to go back and rework parts of the Accept - Daren route since I'm not happy with how it turned out.

Anyways! Because it's always fun to do this at the end of an update devlog, here's the final poll results for people's favorite and least-favorite characters.

See ya, and enjoy! Also if you run into any bugs or issues, let me know so I can fix them! (I'm still always terrified of the possibility I might one day accidentally get the sfw and nsfw android builds mixed up despite checking over and over and over. But at the very least it should be easy to tell if it's mixed up since the nsfw version has a prompt upon startup that it's 18+ )

Oh right! Before I forget. There is a bug I ran into while testing that I can't for the life of me figure out, but I think it should be fine? Loading an old save works just fine. Making a save in the 0.14 update and then trying to open it in a previous version causes a crash depending on where it was saved. I tried for quite a while but was never able to figure out what was causing it. Ideally that situation wouldn't have to come up ever but it does worry me if there's any chance something weird could happen with saves in the future. Hopefully not.

Hope there will be NSFW CG scenes in the near future

I don't think you should worry about that bug. Most VN authors don't even have forwards compatibility for saves.

I've never heard of anyone expecting a save from a newer version to open under an older version. Even theoretically there's no reason that should work without a dedicated parser. It's more than enough that you tested it with old save files.
